Israeli troops storm Al-Aqsa, attack Palestinian worshippers to protect settlers
Massive armed Israeli forces on Monday morning stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque, forcing Palestinian worshippers out of the prayer halls and the mosque’s courtyards to protect extremist settlers, and make way for them according to local sources.
Local sources reported that over 200 Israeli settlers stormed the compound within an hour, protected by Israeli forces.
Knesset members from the right-wing Religious Israeli Party led an invasion into the holy site from Damascus Gate to celebrate the beginning of the Israeli Passover holiday, threatening Palestinian worshippers during the holy Islamic month of Ramadan.
Local sources said that two Palestinians were seriously wounded after Israeli forces stormed the town of Yamoun to the west of the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank and shot them in the head, neck, and back.
It added that they have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
