EU calls for Palestinian civilians protection in West Bank against Israeli settlers’ violence
The European Union’s office in Jerusalem on Thursday expressed concern about the increasing in Israeli settlers’ violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank citing one incident in particular and called for protection for the civilians.
“Concerned by illegal Israeli settlers vandalizing agricultural roads and lands leading to the Youth Village near Kufr Nimeh, west of Ramallah, owned by our partner organization Sharek,” it said in a tweet.
“The 2700-meter road is used by farmers, villagers, and visitors of the Youth Village who are often exposed to settlers’ harassment. This village serves hundreds of Palestinian youth in the West Bank who must be protected at all times,” it reported.
