US delegation visits Middle East amid Palestinian tensions
The US State Department announced on Tuesday evening that from April 19 to April 26, Yael Lambert, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, will visit Jordan, Israel, the West Bank and Egypt, for talks aimed at “de-escalation” in the region.
The ministry added that Lambert engaged with senior leaders in the region to discuss the issue of easing tensions and putting an end to the cycle of violence in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza.
She clarified that the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs Hadi Amr will join Acting Minister Lambert.
