EU calls for swift, independent investigation of killing Shireen Abu Aqleh
The European Union Mission on Wednesday condemned the assassination of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh in Jenin.
The European Union Mission said in a press release, “We express our shock at the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shirin Abu Aqleh during her coverage of Israeli forces raid in Jenin camp.”
It supported Abu Aqleh’s family and called for a fast and independent investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, asserting the need to provide the security and protection of journalists.
On Wednesday morning, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Al Jazeera’s journalist Shirin Abu Aqleh after she was shot dead in the head by live occupation bullets during the Israeli aggression against in Jenin, which began at dawn today.
