Billionaire American businessman, Bill Gates, taking part in a session to answer inquiries from his followers on a social media, revealed the four things he advises for happiness.
Bill Gates asserted that money is not one of the things that bring happiness.
He summarized the four tips, saying, “Generosity, fulfilling personal obligations, developing state of mind, and sitting with parents and children.”
Generosity
He noted that the first thing he saw as a cause of happiness for him was doing good and generous to achieve, adding, he considered helping the world’s children to get vaccines for various diseases to be his most important achievement.
Fulfilling personal obligations
As for his second advice, he said that everyone must fulfill personal obligations, noting that when Gates founded Microsoft in 1980, the most important obligation to himself and his company was to transform the computer into a basic device in the world.
State of Mind Development
On the third piece of advice, the American businessman stressed the need to develop the state of mind by exercisings well as the need to maintain a daily exercise routine to improve mental health.
Sitting with parents and children
Gates, who made the first billion in his 30-year history, spoke of his fourth and final advice, “Sharing a good time with your children or parents not only helps you relate to them but also brings happiness to everyone because of the growing sense of belonging and security within the family.”
In 2021, Gates ranked fourth among the world’s richest billionaires on the Forbes list, with a wealth of $124 billion.
In the summer of 2021, Bill announced his separation from his wife Melinda, 27 years after their marriage, via his official Twitter account, and said: “We have separated, but we will continue to work together in the philanthropic field, which includes education, gender equality, and health care.”
It is worth mentioning that the US billionaire has so far donated $35.8 billion worth of Microsoft shares to his charity, and his contributions have contributed to reducing the under 5 mortality rate from 10 million to 6 million annually.
