Jawwal Wins the Crisis Response Award within the 2025 World Communication Awards
Jawwal has achieved a global milestone by winning the Crisis Response Award for 2025 World Communication Awards held in London, organized by Total Telecom, an esteemed institution responsible for monitoring changes in the global telecom sector since 1999. The event saw the participation of over 80 telecom companies and operators worldwide, including Vodafone, Ericsson, Telefonica, Orange, e&, and others.
This prestigious achievement highlights Jawwal’s ability to lead innovation in one of the most challenging environments in the telecom sector. During the aggression on Gaza Strip, Jawwal developed integrated technological solutions for risk management and business continuity, as well as effective crisis response plans, enabling them to keep communications alive under extreme conditions despite 80% of its network being destroyed. Furthermore, Jawwal ensured the stability and quality of services in the West Bank despite increasing operational challenges in 2025.
The award represents international recognition of Jawwal’s teams’ efficiency and innovation under the most difficult circumstances. Their continued efforts were driven by their commitment to their subscribers and a deep sense of national and humanitarian responsibility to keep Gaza connected. They created numerous solutions to maintain communication for relief, health, education, and media institutions throughout the conflict, despite field risks, resource shortages, and the destruction of infrastructure, firmly believing that sustaining connectivity is a lifeline of hope for all sectors to continue operating.
It is worth noting that the award was granted by a panel of 76 international telecom and technology experts, after Jawwal competed against leading global companies. This achievement reflects the sector’s resilience and innovation under pressure and reinforces Jawwal’s standing locally and internationally, driven by Palestinian talent achieving world-class recognition.
