Presidency warns against ongoing Israeli raids in Jenin, Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Palestinian Presidency on Wednesday warned against the Israeli ongoing storming of Jenin, the arbitrary arrests of Palestinians, authorizing Jewish extremists to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, declaring the building of thousands of settlement units in the Palestinian territories, and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s opinions calling on his Israeli army to kill and abuse Palestinian people at their free will.
Official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, said in a press statement that “this escalating Israeli policy against the Palestinians including killing, arresting and storming aims to blow up the crisis and create an atmosphere of violence and tension that we have frequently warned against.”
He called on the US administration to break its silence and to intervene immediately to stop the endless Israeli crimes against the Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps and to stop Israel’s lawlessness before too late, asserting that statements and condemnations alone are not enough.
Abu Rudeineh added that this behavior comes when the whole world saw the Israeli army’s killing of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the violent attack on her funeral.
Besides, the Israeli attack on the Walid al-Sharif funeral and the heresy of the cemetery, confirms that Israel does not care about all these international condemnations or the resolutions of the United Nations.
These international organizations have repeatedly emphasized the need to provide international protection for Palestinians to stop all forms of settlement activity as illegal and contrary to international law, and to end the occupation of all Palestinian lands occupied in 1967, including East Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine.
