Settlers attack Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood
A group of Israeli settlers on Sunday assaulted the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, witnesses reported.
Citizen of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, Amin Burqan, said that the settlers’ attack was united with the occupation forces’ raid into the al-Sumoud refugee camp in the neighborhood.
He stated that citizens’ homes were raided and attacked with stones, vehicles were vandalized, and live bullets were fired at them.
This invasion came amid simmering tensions in the city of Jerusalem as settlers organized violent and provocative rallies in the city’s residents.
Crashes also erupted in the Shufaat refugee camp to the north of occupied Jerusalem following Israeli forces’ incursion into the camp. Forces used rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades, and teargas canisters against the camp’s citizens, however, no wounds were reported.
