OIC strongly condemns Israeli raids in al-Aqsa mosque
Thousands of radical settlers stormed the hallowed Al-Aqsa Mosque, performing Talmudic rites and rituals with the help and protection of Israeli occupation troops, according to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The OIC strongly condemned the racist and provocative “flags march” organized by extremist settlers in the occupied city of Al-Quds, as well as the savage attack on Palestinian residents. These acts, according to the OIC, are a dangerous escalation, as well as a direct challenge to the sensibilities of the whole Muslim Ummah, as well as a flagrant violation of key international agreements and covenants.
Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held Israel, the occupying power, fully responsible for the possible consequences of these ongoing attacks, while also urging the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take action to put an end to Israel’s repeated violations.
He reaffirmed the OIC’s unequivocal support for the Palestinian people’s right to sovereignty over East Jerusalem, the State of Palestine’s capital, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
