After being targeted by Russian airstrikes early Sunday, fires have erupted in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa on the Black Sea.
Anton Herashchenko, an assistant to the interior minister, wrote in his Telegram account, “Odessa was assaulted from the air.”
At least three columns of black smoke rose from the blasts, with flames visible in an industrial area.
It wasn’t apparent whether the fires were started by artillery or rockets at first.
It was most certainly a rocket or a missile, according to a soldier stationed near one of the attacks.
