Palestinian detainee completes 19 years in Israeli jails
A Palestinian prisoner from Qalqilia ended on Monday 19 years in Israeli jails for resisting the occupation, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
PPS said prisoner Mohammed Khatib, 39, was arrested after two and a half years of being pursued by Israeli forces and sentenced to a lifetime and 30 years of incarceration.
He was subjected to a long harsh investigation following his detention and is currently detained in Nafha Israeli jail.
There are 4,600 Palestinian inmates, including 172 kids and 31 women, currently languishing in Israeli jails, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission.
