Next Android … new future for smartphones
Next Android is soon, some technology-related websites said that Google tested a new function that might be highly useful for both manufacturers and consumers of smartphones.
According to the latest leaks, Google experts are working on a new technology to be added to Android systems that will allow the phone to connect to two cellular networks at the same time without the use of two SIM cards in the phone, and the phone will be able to connect to both networks simultaneously via eSIM technology.
According to available information, the new function will be based on a patent filed in 2020, and Google has begun testing it in various Pixel phone versions that it is developing.
Experts said that the new feature will make it easier for smartphone owners to enjoy the benefits of more than one cellular network at the same time, and it will also allow phone manufacturers to use the space held by the second SIM card in the phone to insert a port for microSD memory cards. Alternatively, larger-capacity batteries could be installed in phones.
The new technology is scheduled to debut with Android 13 systems, of which Google will release test versions before the end of the first half of this year.
