They stayed in school corridor for 77 minutes while 19 kids were killed!!
A video clip published by American media on Tuesday revealed the actions of the police in the corridor of Robb Elementary School in Texas, while a criminal teenager was killing one child after another in the classroom on May 24.
The video shows armed teenager Salvador Ramos, 18, entering the school with a semi-automatic rifle, then the sound of gunfire being heard from the AR-15 for more than two minutes.
Although the officers entered the building immediately after the teenager started shooting, they stood in the corridor for 77 minutes, awaiting orders from the leaders to storm.
CCTV recordings showed a policeman busy with his phone during the fatal shooting, while another officer treated his hands with disinfectant.
According to the newspaper, “Daily Mail”, 17 security officials were inside the building during the killing of the children, while none of them dared to neutralize the teenager who, since entering the school, started shooting at the students.
It is reported that the Texas Director of Public Safety, Stephen McCroa, had blamed the school police chief for his late response, asserting in testimony before the state Congress that: “There were enough officers armed with body armor to isolate, distract and neutralize the offender, but that did not It happens at the right speed.”
