Bahrain, UAE slam Israel’s aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain condemned on Friday by two separate reports Israel’s barbaric attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and called for admiring the sanctity of the holy Muslim site.
Reports published by the foreign ministries in both nations also called on Israel to respect the position of Jordan as guardian of the holy places in Jerusalem as well as the position quo in the occupied holy city.
The UAE stated that the Israeli authorities should respect the right of Palestinians to complete their religious rituals, calling to stop any action that violates the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It emphasized the necessity to help all regional and international actions to promote the Middle East peace process, as well as the demand to put an end to illegal Israeli attacks that endanger the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Besides, Bahrain called on Israel to stop any provocative attacks that would fuel violence, religious hatred, extremism, and instability.
Bahrain called on the international society to shoulder its responsibilities in bringing calm to the area and opening serious opportunities for a just and comprehensive peace process based on the principle of a two-state solution and the Arab peace initiative, announcing the kingdom’s firm position in support of the rights of the Palestinian people in agreement with the United Nations resolutions.
