How to watch the final ‘Chesapeake Shores’ season
Season 6 of the multi-generational family drama “Chesapeake Shores” from Hallmark, starring Robert Buckley and Meghan Ory, premieres tonight, August 14, at 8 p.m. The series is based on Sherryl Woods’s best-selling novels in the New York Times.
You can watch tonight’s “Chesapeake Shores” debut live on Philo (free trial) and DirectTV Stream (also with a free trial), two streaming services for Hallmark lovers who have abandoned traditional cable and chosen to watch content online.
The first episode of Season 1 debuted back in August 2016, and five more seasons came after. The popular ten-episode series centers on the life of the O’Brien Family and explores love, loss, and reconciliation, as well as all the drama and joy that come with living in a close-knit family. Philo and DirecTV Stream both offer the series for streaming.

High-powered businesswoman Abby O’Brien has made it out of her hometown of Chesapeake Shores and into the big city — New York, according to the official season 6 synopsis from Hallmark. The divorced mother of twins is faced with old friends when she returns home, including high school sweetheart Trace, rigid father Mick, and admired grandmother Nell. This examination of her background, coupled with the knowledge that her profession is preventing her from being a hands-on mother to her girls, prompts Abby to think about relocating permanently to Chesapeake.
MTV and more than 50 additional classic TV, lifestyle, and news channels are included in Philo’s live TV subscription, which costs $25 a month. Subscribers have access to three simultaneous streaming devices, ten profile creations, and unlimited live or upcoming show storage for up to a year.
When you sign up for a new DirecTV Stream subscription, which starts at $70 per month, you will receive $30 off your first two months. Under its Entertainment bundle ($70 a month), the streamer delivers MTV as well as more than 65 sports, entertainment, and news channels. With rates ranging from $84 to $140 per month, other plans include between 90 and 140 channels. You can also add HBO Max, Starz, Showtime, and other channels to expand your movie options.
