iPhone 14 price will be $100 higher than previous one
Markets expect the American electronics giant Apple to launch the new generation of its iPhone 14 smartphone, scheduled to be launched on September 7, at a price higher than the price of the current generation iPhone 13.
The website Cnet.com, which specializes in technology issues, stated that the new generation that will succeed the iPhone 13 launched last year will contain a set of updates, including a very clear display and a 48-megapixel camera with Pro-class phones.
Apple may also abandon the iPhone Mini category in favor of the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, according to rumors that leaked the new generation of iPhone phones.
Dan Ive, an economist at Wedbush, said that Apple could raise the price of the iPhone 14 by $100 from the price of the iPhone 13. These expectations are consistent with analysts’ expectations in The Sun, which pointed to higher prices throughout the Apple phone component supply chain.
It is noteworthy that Apple did not change the price of the iPhone 13 phones from the price of the previous generation iPhone 12, as there were no significant differences between the two generations.
Therefore, it is likely that the price of the new generation iPhone 14 will increase in light of the great updates that it contains.
But Apple may keep the prices unchanged in order to maintain the competitiveness of the iPhone phones in the face of the latest phones running the competing Android operating system, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Google’s Pixel 6.
It is noteworthy that Apple usually launches its new phones in September, soon after its unveiling, although some new generation size classes are released later, as happened in previous years.
