Palestinian factions launch Jenin drones
The military spokesman of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) on Thursday revealed that a drone targeted the Israeli troops near the borders between Israel and the Gaza Strip in September 2019.
Abu Hamza said in a press statement on the occasion of the International Jerusalem Day, that the drone’s name is “Jenin” in reference to the northern West Bank city of Jenin, one of the most important strongholds of (PIJ) in the West Bank.
He explained that a drone, which was manufactured by Islamic Jihad experts, hit an Israeli military target in September 2019 near the borders between the eastern Gaza Strip and Israel, and returned peacefully to its base without adding any more details.
“The Jenin drone worked on the air force that our fighters continue to strengthen and develop within the besieged Gaza Strip,” Abu Hamza said.
He added, “The enemy (Israel) has to think about how our capabilities have developed after three years of this operation, and what has been done before.”
Abu Hamza emphasized that International Jerusalem Day is an honorable anniversary, a day of unity that calls on the nation to repair its path towards enemies.
“This day called for by Khomeini is the title of a great goal, which is Jerusalem liberation,” he added.
Abu Hamza thanked the Arab and Islamic nations, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, which always supports Palestinian resistance.
