“Press icon” Shireen Abu Aqleh shot dead by Israeli soldiers
Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, Al-Jazeera reporter, after being shot in the head by live occupation bullets, during the Israeli aggression on Jenin, which began at dawn today.
It reported in a press statement that the Israeli massive raid on Jenin injured also journalist Ali Al-Samudi with live bullets in the back, describing his condition as stable.
In turn, Al Jazeera confirmed that its reporter, Sherine Abu Aqleh, was wearing a press jacket while she was targeted by the Israeli occupation forces.
Shireen Abu Aqleh is a Palestinian journalist known for her great coverage of the events in Palestine and the violations of the Israeli occupation authorities in the Palestinian territories.
Abu Aqleh works as a press reporter on the occupied Palestinian territories for Al- Jazeera, in addition to her work with Radio Monte Carlo in France
She was born in 1971 AD. Sherine Abu Aqleh is from Bethlehem, but she was born and raised in Jerusalem. As for Shireen’s religion, she belongs to a Christian family.
