UN calls for independent, transparent investigation at Al-Jazeera journalist killing
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, on Wednesday reported that she is appalled at the killing of Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh while covering an Israeli military operation in Jenin.
She said via her Twitter account, “Our Office is on the ground verifying the facts”.
The UN High Commissioner called an independent, transparent investigation into her killing. “Impunity must end,” she tweeted
