China launches 3 new space satellites
China launched on Tuesday, its “Ceres-1 Y-3” carrier rocket from the Geoqiwan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the country, according to Xinhua news agency.
The rocket launched from the launch site at 1211 noon Beijing time, sending three satellites into the planned orbit.
Two of the three satellites will provide commercial remote sensing services, while the third will be used to verify the polarization camera’s multimedia remote sensing technology.
The 20-meter-long Ceres-1 carrier missile developed by Beijing-based Qalaktik High-Tech is a small solid-fuel missile.
It is capable of sending small satellites into orbit.
This launch represents the third flight of a series of “Ceres-1” missiles.
