Iran calls UN to stop Israeli attack in Palestine
The session of the Permanent Representatives Committee of OIC Member States was carried out in the company of António Guterres Secretary-General of the United Nations on Friday.
The session discussed some necessary issues connected to the Islamic world, involving the latest developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, as well as the rising phenomenon of Islamophobia in some European countries.
Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-Ravanchi called on United Nations to take a quick movement to prevent the attack of the Israeli forces on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Besides, the ambassadors and representatives of other Islamic countries also emphasized the necessity of the role of the United Nations in the Palestinian issue and the end of the occupation of the Israeli occupation forces.
The meeting also discussed the representative of Afghanistan also called on Islamic countries to express their condemnation of the latest terrorist assaults in Afghanistan.
António Guterres welcomed all Muslims over the world on the holy month of Ramadan, clarifying that the issue of Palestine and Islamophobia are important international issues.
