Health ministry documents Israeli killing of 50 Palestinians since the beginning of 2022

The Palestinian Ministry of Health on Monday reported in a press statement the names of 50 Palestinians who were shot dead by Israelis since the beginning of this year, 49 of them from the West Bank and East Jerusalem and one from the Gaza Strip.

It added that they also included two women Maha Zaatari, 24, from Hebron, and Ghada Sabatin, 47, from Bethlehem, in the south of the West Bank who were killed by Israeli occupation forces on April 10.

The list also included two 80-year-old men, Omar Assad, from the Ramallah district, and Suleiman Hathalin, from the Hebron communities. Assad died on January 13 and Hathalin on January 27, both as a result of Israeli army abuse, and 57-year-old Fahmi Hamad, from Jerusalem, was killed on January 24.

The most youthful on the list were was13-year Quasi Hamamreh, from Bethlehem, who was shot and killed on April 13 and 14-year-old Mohammad Salah, also from Bethlehem district, who was killed on February 22.

It also included one 16-year-old, five 17 years old, four 18 years old, and two 19 years old.

The Ministry said that it included 25 Palestinians in their 20s, including the woman from Hebron, four in their 30s, three in their 40s, including the woman from Bethlehem, a 57-year-old man, and the two in their 80s.

The one from the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Arram, 27, was shot dead yesterday in the northern West Bank district of Tulkarm.
